Want Bigger Boobs for a Day? Try Saline Shots!

Ever wanted to know what it would be like to have bigger breasts, even for just a day or two?

Well, here is your chance. A new trend is starting to catch in which plastic surgeons inject saline into the breasts to temporarily expand their size.

Temporarily Larger Breasts

The procedure only lasts for about 24 hours but is considered far less risky and invasive than the typical breast augmentation or enlargement surgery options.

The saline injections were originally developed as a way to show potential patients how they would possibly look with larger breasts. Participating surgeons would apply the injections to show their clients what their results might look like, prior to agreeing to go under the knife.

According the New York Times, these temporary saline injections are now extremely popular and requested for special events, parties and even vacations and holidays.

What Does This Cost?

Due to increasing popularity, these temporary bust improvements can cost anywhere from $2,500 to $3,500. The procedure is unfortunately no longer an option for many people who might want to see the results of bigger breasts before committing to surgery.

What Do Doctors Think?

Bustle.com reports that the medical community is still undecided about the merits, or lack there of, in regards to temporary saline injections to the breasts.

“Surgeons such as Manhattan-based Dr. Norman Rowe, who perform the injections three to five times a week, claim that it is a safe procedure,” Bustle.com reporter Alanna Greco reported. “Saline, which is just salt water, harmlessly absorbs into the body. Other doctors are not pleased with the rising popularity of saline injections.

“Dr. Michael C. Edwards, president of American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) claims that the procedure could stretch out skin, leaving breasts droopy, and Daniel Mills, M.D., a plastic surgeon and member of ASAPS, told Yahoo Health that as with any injection, there is a risk of infection and blood pooling under the skin.”
